Jesse James Bank Museum
The James Bank Museum located in downtown Liberty, MO is the site of the first U.S. daylight, peacetime bank robbery. On February 13th, 1866 the James gang allegedly tied up the bank manager and his son, put them in the bank vault and robbed the bank of its assets. Visitors can tour the bank with a knowledgeable tour guide and see period furnishings and photos.
